What’s Holding Up Facebook’s Timeline Launch?

On September 22, 2011 at the f8 conference Facebook announced that it would be launching a brand new format for its user’s personal profile pages: The Timeline. Mashable reported that Timeline would “change the world of social media” and was “the biggest thing to come out of the company since the launch of the Facebook Platform” and whole bunch of other ridiculous stuff.

At first, developers announced that Timeline would go live before September 30, then it was changed to October 6 and now both these dates have passed and still I’m logging onto Facebook (the same way I always have) and my world is not being ‘profoundly changed’. 4 Things People Trade In Their Dignity To Wear

We’ve all seen them, some of us have considered using them and a sad few of us have gone over the edge and actually purchased one of them (hopefully not more than one). They all have a purpose and I would even go as far as to say that some of them are useful. Really though, the bottom line is that you cash all self respect and dignity as soon as you step out the door wearing any of these items.

If this scene is familiar to you, there is a good chance you're guilty of rocking at least one of these

3 Recent Ridiculous Claims That Advertisers Almost Got Away With

So you’d think that in this day and age advertisers would have figured out that the average consumer is more educated than they were say 20-30 years ago. You’d think so anyway. But for whatever reason it seems that many of these so called marketing experts continue to try and use gimmicks to trick consumers into buying their products rather than just telling it like it is.

Magic Elixir Salesman

Same idea, minus the CGI and sex appeal.
